We have experienced several successive days of falling prices in the Nordic energy market. The immediate contracts in particular have fallen in price, and Q3-21, which is now the immediate quarter contract in the forward market, has fallen to EUR 26.55/MWh. Looking at the long-term contracts in the market, YR-22 has fallen to EUR 26.05/MWh. The growing hydro-balance surplus in particular has caused the market to trade downwards, and the low spot prices have also played their part. On the other hand, these price falls have taken place despite the fact that both carbon and gas prices have climbed in recent times.
