For the second week in a row, there were falling prices in the Nordic forward market, and both the Q1-22 and the YR-22 contracts are being traded at slightly lower levels than last week. The cause of the price falls is another week of substantial daily fluctuations, with prices first falling drastically before regaining nearly all lost ground on Friday and Monday. As German electricity prices continue to climb and the spread between Germany and the Nordic region therefore continues to grow, we are now experiencing significant new increases across several EPADs, primarily in Denmark and Southern Sweden.
