Spot prices in Finland fell sharply last week, where the average price level of the week was EUR 51.14/MWh. This is the cheapest week the country has seen since last autumn. Sunday especially was exceptionally cheap, with a price of only EUR 18.91/MWh. On the other hand, there were further increases on the forward market. The weather forecasts for the second half of April continue to look cold, and the snow melting season in the Nordic mountains is delayed. The Finnish 2023 contract therefore climbed to EUR 61.70/MWh, EUR 4.40/MWh higher than the level one week ago.
